Dr. Carlos I. Gabriel is the founder and Medical Director of the Better Bladder Center, bringing with him over 17 years of experience in medicine. Previously, he served as the chairman of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Regency Medical Center. Dr. Gabriel’s dedication to achieving excellent results and providing personalized patient care aligns perfectly with the team philosophy at the Better Bladder Center. His expertise as a pelvic floor specialist is highly regarded by both patients and colleagues at our bladder control clinic in central Florida.
Dr. Gabriel was raised in Miami, Florida, and obtained his undergraduate and doctor of medicine degrees from the University of Miami. He completed his internship and residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami before joining the Bond Clinic in Winter Haven, located in Polk County. Currently, he is Board Certified in OBGYN and holds faculty positions at Winter Haven Hospital and Regency Medical Center.
As a uro-gynecologist, Dr. Gabriel specializes in non-invasive pelvic floor rehabilitation. He utilizes techniques such as EMG assisted biofeedback, electrical stimulation, and percutaneous tibial nerve stimulation. His areas of focus include treating conditions such as urinary incontinence, fecal incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain, endometriosis, dysmenorrhea, interstitial cystitis, levator spasm, and pelvic myofascial trigger points. Additionally, he has experience in addressing sexual disorders, including anorgasmia, premature ejaculation, and erectile dysfunction.
Dr. Gabriel brings his expertise to Central Florida, offering patients the latest conservative solutions for bladder control problems. Fluent in Spanish, he primarily sees patients at the Bond Clinic in Winter Haven, but also maintains a satellite office in Lakeland, Florida.
