Her primary goal is to help people regain their ability to engage in activities that hold personal significance for them. She firmly believes that each individual has a unique story and requires a personalized, high-quality plan of care to address their specific needs.
Annessa obtained her Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from Colorado University at the Anschutz Medical Campus in 2017. She graduated with honors from Colorado State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Sciences with a specialization in sports medicine, as well as a Bachelor of Arts with a focus on dance. Having started dancing at the age of three, she has since performed professionally in Chicago, Las Vegas, and Colorado. Annessa has also coached competitive dance teams, taught various dance styles, and choreographed performances. Additionally, she has received Level One Pedagogical Training in the Vagonova Ballet Technique.
In 2018, Annessa became a certified Functional Range Conditioning Specialist. She has further enhanced her expertise through specialized training in pelvic floor rehabilitation at the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Health Rehabilitation Institute, as well as in clinical neurodynamics and vestibular rehabilitation. With experience in both inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation settings, she utilizes dry and aquatic techniques to treat a wide range of conditions, including chronic pain, pelvic floor dysfunction, musculoskeletal issues, neurological disorders, dizziness, sports injuries, and more.
Being a Coloradoan, Annessa possesses a deep passion for mountain sports and various other forms of movement. She brings this enthusiasm into her role as a physical therapist, incorporating it into her practice. Outside of work, Annessa enjoys spending time with her loved ones and immersing herself in nature. She actively seeks out new movements and activities, such as archery, ax throwing, and swing dance, and is always open to trying new things.
