Dr. Anika Arevalo PT, DPT graduated from the University of Miami with a Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology and a Minor in Sports Medicine and Chemistry in 2009. She then pursued her Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) at the University of Miami’s Miller School of Medicine, completing her degree in 2013.

Following her graduation, Dr. Arevalo began her career in Atlanta, Georgia, where she worked as a physical therapist for two years. During this time, she specialized in treating patients in the outpatient orthopedic and sports setting.

In late 2015, Dr. Arevalo decided to return to her hometown of Miami to continue her professional journey. Since her return, she has dedicated her time to working in private practice, providing care to patients of all ages in the Orthopedic and Acute Rehabilitation setting.

In 2017, Dr. Arevalo furthered her knowledge and skills by completing specialized training in Pelvic Floor Rehabilitation through Herman & Wallace. As a result, she is now able to effectively treat a wide range of Pelvic Floor disorders in both males and females. Some of the common conditions she addresses include urinary incontinence, urinary urgency and frequency, fecal/bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, prolapse, painful intercourse, constipation, pelvic floor weakness, diastasis recti, and prenatal and postpartum pelvic floor training. Additionally, she provides support to post proctectomy and hysterectomy patients experiencing any of the aforementioned symptoms.
