Angelique Montano-Bresolin holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts Kinesiology degree from the University of Western Ontario, which she obtained in 1997. In 2000, she completed the Physical Therapy Program at the University of Toronto. Angelique has been practicing as a Registered Physiotherapist in Toronto, Ontario, Canada, primarily in the outpatient orthopaedic setting. Since 2010, she has focused on treating men and women with pelvic health concerns.
Angelique has undergone extensive training with experts in Canada and the United States, including Pelvic Health Solutions, the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, and the American Physical Therapy Association. Her training in pelvic floor dysfunction covers a wide range of areas, such as assessing and treating urinary incontinence, complex pelvic pain, pelvic girdle pain, sexual pain, pudendal neuralgia, gastro-intestinal disorders, prolapse, pessary care and fitting, pre and postnatal care, preparation for labor and delivery, post-surgical care, post-menopausal care, and post-cancer care.
In addition to her expertise in pelvic floor rehabilitation, Angelique is a certified Pfilates (pelvic floor pilates) Instructor and a Level 1 Hypopressive Certified Instructor. She also serves as a Teaching Assistant for Pelvic Health Solutions, an organization dedicated to educating physiotherapists and other healthcare practitioners about pelvic health.
Angelique is a member of several professional memberships and associations, including the International Pelvic Pain Society (IPPS), the International Continence Society (ICS), the National Vulvodynia Association (NVA), the Interstitial Cystitis Association (ICA), the Interstitial Cystitis Network (ICN), the Canadian Physiotherapy Association (CPA), and the Women’s Health Division of the CPA.
