Angie Maxwell, PT, DPT is the owner and lead physical therapist at Madrona Physical Therapy. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Eastern Washington University in 2013. Angie is recognized as a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Women’s Health Physical Therapy by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. This credential signifies her expertise in women’s health physical therapy and her ability to handle complex cases.
Throughout her career, Angie has gained experience working in various hospital systems and large private practices. However, she noticed a lack of support in the community for women’s health, particularly in post-partum care and osteoporosis treatment. Motivated by this observation, she decided to establish her own practice. Opening Madrona Physical Therapy has allowed her to fulfill her dream of creating a clinic that caters specifically to the needs of women.
Angie has acquired advanced training in identifying pelvic floor dysfunction and managing functional and movement disorders associated with pregnancy, post-partum recovery, incontinence, sexual function, female athletics, menopause, and osteoporosis/osteopenia. Her approach to patient care is rooted in a trauma-informed, emotion-focused, holistic, whole-body perspective. By employing this approach, Angie aims to alleviate patient pain and address movement dysfunction effectively.
