Amy is a physical therapist who approaches her work with a keen eye for the intricate movements of a dancer. Her passion for healthy movement extends to both her love of dance and her practice in physical therapy. Amy believes in taking a whole-body perspective when it comes to patient recovery, emphasizing the importance of one-on-one treatment and empowering her patients to independently manage their own symptoms.

While Amy’s primary focus is on dance medicine, her diverse experience with balance, vestibular dysfunction, and women’s health has provided her with a broader understanding of the challenges patients face in regaining function. She holds a Doctor of Physical Therapy from Rockhurst University in Kansas City and a Bachelor of Science in Dance from Kansas State University. Amy has also completed advanced training with the North American Institute of Orthopedic Manual Therapy (NAIOMT), having achieved three of the four levels required for manual therapy certification.

Throughout her career, Amy has worked as a physical therapist for esteemed organizations such as the Oregon Ballet Theatre, Body Vox, and NW Dance Project. She has also served as the wellness committee chair and care coordinator for the Oregon Ballet Theatre and was a founding healthcare member for Dance Wire. Amy’s commitment to continuous learning is evident through her extensive coursework in Dance Medicine, Pilates, hip and lower leg dysfunction, ankle and foot biomechanics, pregnancy and post-partum care, and vestibular dysfunction. Additionally, she has received training in Pelvic Floor rehabilitation.

With her comprehensive knowledge and dedication to her patients’ well-being, Amy strives to provide the highest quality of care and support for those seeking physical therapy assistance.
