Amanda, also known as Amy, holds a Doctorate in Physical Therapy from Northwestern University in Chicago, Illinois. During her time in Chicago, she gained valuable clinical experience at the Rehab Institute of Chicago and the University of Illinois at Chicago Hospital, where she treated patients with spinal cord injuries and neurological pathologies. However, Amy discovered her true passion lies in women’s health. She has completed numerous continuing education courses focused on the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction and musculoskeletal impairments related to pregnancy. In recognition of her expertise, she has received a Certificate of Achievement in Pregnancy/Postpartum care.
Amy is deeply dedicated to promoting pelvic health and supporting breast cancer survivors. She often serves as a guest lecturer for professional organizations and community groups. Amy is actively engaged in the fitness community as an ACE-certified personal trainer and group fitness instructor. She also teaches courses on correcting diastasis recti and has experience designing exercise programs for prenatal and postpartum populations. With a strong commitment to providing effective, personalized, evidence-based, and culturally competent care, Amy has extensive experience working with Spanish-speaking individuals. Additionally, she is a Certified Nutrition Therapy Practitioner, enabling her to take an integrative approach when working with patients.
