Amber Weinheimer, PT, DPT, CLT, is a highly accomplished physical therapist who obtained her double major in Health and Kinesiology at Texas A&M University. She furthered her education at the University of the Incarnate Word, earning her doctorate in physical therapy.
Amber began her career at Baylor Scott & White Institute of Rehabilitation in Plano, Texas, where she focused on outpatient therapy for orthopedic and neurological conditions. Her dedication to improving patient care led her to pursue a Baylor Scott & White Institute of Rehabilitation Oncology Residency from 2019 to 2020. During this residency, Amber gained extensive experience working with oncology patients, providing care from the time of diagnosis through palliative care.
After completing her residency, Amber became a mentor in the program, sharing her expertise with aspiring oncology residents. She also obtained certification as a clinical specialist with the ReVital Cancer Rehabilitation Program, showcasing her commitment to excellence in cancer rehabilitation. Additionally, Amber is a certified lymphedema therapist, specializing in the treatment of head and neck, breast, arm, and leg lymphedema.
In 2021, Amber achieved another significant milestone by becoming the first Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Oncologic Physical Therapy in San Antonio. Her expertise and dedication to her field make her a valuable asset to the community.
Furthermore, Amber provides pelvic floor rehabilitation services to address a range of conditions related to postpartum care, pelvic pain, incontinence, bowel dysfunction, and prolapse. Her comprehensive approach ensures that patients receive the specialized care they need.
Outside of her professional life, Amber is happily married and enjoys the company of her two full-size labs named Gus and Levi. Recently, she has relocated back to her hometown of San Antonio, Texas, where she continues to make a positive impact on the lives of her patients.
