Amanda, a native of the Seattle area, is excited to take on the role of leading the team at Queen Anne Physical Therapy. She has a strong passion for working in the fields of orthopedics and pelvic floor therapy, as she strives to empower her patients to live their lives to the fullest and remain active. Her areas of expertise include pelvic pain and dysfunction, pregnancy-related issues, low back pain, neck pain, and injuries to the hip, knee, and ankle.
Amanda boasts an impressive list of advanced certifications, including her Orthopedic Clinical Specialist designation from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. She is also a certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association, as well as a Fellow of the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy. Additionally, she has received certification in Augmented Soft Tissue Mobilization (ASTYM) and is recognized as a certified Bike Fit Specialist.
Beyond her clinical work, Amanda actively participates in physical therapy advocacy efforts, collaborating with legislators to ensure patients have access to high-quality healthcare. She has held various elected positions within the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) and was honored with the APTA’s Emerging Leader Award in 2021.
Amanda’s educational background includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science from Gonzaga University, where she competed at the Division I level and served as captain for both the cross country and track teams. She furthered her studies at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska, earning her Doctorate of Physical Therapy. During her time at Creighton, Amanda had the opportunity to work as a physical therapist in the Dominican Republic, developing proficiency in medical Spanish.
Outside of her professional pursuits, Amanda is an avid distance runner who dedicates her time to training for marathons. When she’s not pounding the pavement, she enjoys spending quality time with her husband and their greyhound. They often engage in activities such as cooking, exploring the outdoors, or working on various home improvement projects.
