Amanda Heritage, PT, DPT, PRCP is a physical therapist specializing in pelvic therapy for female-related care and women’s pelvic health. She obtained her Doctorate of Physical Therapy from Richard Stockton University in 2011. Amanda is also certified as a Pilates instructor and an Exercise Trainer for Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS), as well as in Functional Movement Screen (FMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA) I, Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT) I-II, and vestibular rehabilitation.
With a diverse treatment background that includes orthopedic, pelvic health, and adolescent populations, Amanda is an active member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA). She has presented wellness-based research at multiple APTA conferences and has also been published as an author in a peer-reviewed online journal.
Having been a dancer in the past, Amanda experienced the benefits of rehabilitative Pilates at a young age. She found that it was the only way to properly organize and train her body through chronic injuries. With over eight years of Pilates experience, she recognizes the importance of Pilates principles such as fluid movements and precise stability training in addressing movement dysfunction and enhancing overall patient quality of life.
Amanda is enthusiastic about teaching and sharing the benefits of Pilates-based physical therapy with her patients and clients. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking healthy meals, and gardening with her husband.
