Amanda is a passionate individual who is dedicated to helping her patients manage their conditions in a positive and effective manner. She possesses a remarkable ability to customize and adapt conventional physical therapy techniques to cater to the unique needs of each patient.
Amanda’s passion for empathetic care began during her time in school. She first earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2007. Following this, she pursued a Doctorate of Physical Therapy from the University of Rhode Island, which she completed in 2010. It was during her studies that Amanda’s passion for pelvic health began to flourish.
With a deep understanding of the physical toll that labor and delivery can have on the body, Amanda specializes in assisting women, men, and children through rehab who are experiencing impairments associated with bladder and bowel dysfunctions, pelvic pain, postpartum and prenatal issues, as well as pelvic organ prolapse. She takes great care in personalizing treatment plans to effectively address lymphedema in female and male patients, including extremities, head and neck, and genital edema, often resulting from oncology or cardiovascular diagnoses.
Amanda’s successes are not only a result of her own experiences and clinical background but also her commitment to ongoing education and professional certifications. She is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist through the Academy of Lymphatic Studies, a LANA-certified practitioner with the Lymphology Association of North America, a Certified Pelvic Rehabilitation Specialist through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, and a RYT200-certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance.
Since relocating from the New England area in 2003, Amanda has called Southeastern North Carolina her home. Her dedication to the community is evident through her various leadership roles, where she invests her time and knowledge to make a difference.
