Martha Amanda Haasken, PT, PRPC has been practicing physical therapy since 1996, specializing in pelvic therapy since 2016. She has extensive experience treating individuals of all genders. Martha Amanda is highly trained and knowledgeable in pelvic floor therapy, having completed the Herman and Wallace Pelvic Floor Series, including the Capstone course. She has also served as a Teaching Assistant for these courses, sharing her expertise in treating a wide range of abdominopelvic conditions.

In 2018, Martha Amanda obtained her Pelvic Rehabilitation Practitioner Certification (PRPC) through Herman & Wallace, which acknowledges her exceptional skills in Pelvic Health. Her passion for manual and movement-based treatment approaches has been further developed through completion of the Fascial Based Treatment for Pelvic Dysfunction Series, as well as other specialized coursework. She focuses on addressing various conditions such as urinary issues (incontinence, urgency, retention), bowel issues (constipation, urgency, incontinence), pelvic organ prolapse, pelvic pain (including pain during intercourse or tampon insertion), endometriosis, interstitial cystitis/PBS, prostatitis and male pelvic pain, post-surgical/radiation pain and restriction (including pre and post-prostatectomy), gender affirmation care, pregnancy and post-partum issues (including diastasis rectus abdominis), sacral/tailbone pain, and abdominal fascial restrictions of the GI, urinary, and reproductive systems. Martha Amanda also places special emphasis on understanding the mobility of the fascial system, particularly within the reproductive, urinary, and GI systems, and how it impacts respiratory function.

Martha Amanda is dedicated to providing compassionate care and takes the time to spend 60-80 minutes with each patient on an individual basis. She continuously strives to stay updated with current therapies and best practices in order to ensure the highest level of care for her patients. Serving the population of the New River Valley is an honor for Martha Amanda, as she is committed to improving the well-being of her community.
