Dr. Alessandra Goodfellow, the owner of Pelvic Wellness Physical Therapy, is a highly skilled physical therapist with a Doctorate in Physical Therapy and a bachelors of science in Exercise Science from the University at Buffalo. After completing her studies, she relocated to Arizona where she specialized in orthopedic and neurological conditions. However, it was during this time that she discovered her true passion for pelvic health.
Dr. Goodfellow’s interest in pelvic health was sparked when her patients reported improvements in bladder function while receiving treatment for other conditions. Recognizing the need for specialized care in this area, she dedicated herself to researching and understanding pelvic health. With over 16 years of experience, Dr. Goodfellow has undergone advanced evidence-based specialized training to provide the highest quality care to her patients.
At Pelvic Wellness Physical Therapy, Dr. Goodfellow treats a wide range of pelvic floor-related conditions for individuals of all genders. These conditions include low back pain, thoracic back pain, sacroiliac joint pain (SIJ), pelvic pain, abdominal pain, hip pain and dysfunction, urinary and fecal incontinence, overactive bladder, Dyspareunia (pain with intercourse), prolapse, diastasis recti, endometriosis, interstitial cystitis, infertility, prenatal and postpartum conditions, chronic prostatitis, benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH), and post-surgical pain and dysfunction.
Dr. Goodfellow strongly believes in tailoring her treatments to meet the unique needs of each patient, with the ultimate goal of improving their function and quality of life. Her approach may include therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, visceral mobilization of fascia, myofascial cupping, instrument-assisted manual therapy (IASTM), intramuscular dry needling, neurological re-education, and biofeedback.
